What is a contention ratio and why does it matter?

A contention ratio is how many customers share a single network connection. A lower ratio means more bandwidth per customer. Most ISPs oversell their network — so your speed drops at peak hour. 2Go maintains Australia's lowest contention ratio, so your speed stays consistent all day, every day.

Is there really no lock-in contract?

Yes, really! Most of our home plans are completely month-to-month with no lock-in contract whatsoever. You can switch plans or cancel anytime without any penalty. We also offer optional 12-month contracts at a reduced monthly rate if you'd prefer to save money long-term.

What is FTTP and how do I get the free upgrade?

FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) is the fastest NBN™ technology — fibre cable runs directly to your home. If you're currently on FTTN or FTTC (which use copper for part of the connection), you may qualify for a free upgrade. Just enter your address above and we'll tell you instantly, then manage the whole process for you at zero cost.

How quickly can I get connected?

For most existing NBN™ connections, switching to 2Go can happen within minutes — no technician visit required. If you need a brand new connection or an FTTP upgrade, we'll schedule that as quickly as possible, keep you updated at every step, and aim to minimise any downtime.

Do I need to buy a new modem or router?

If you already have a compatible modem/router from your current provider, you may be able to use it. We also offer Wi-Fi 6 routers from $149 that are optimised for our network. For plans above 500Mbps, a Wi-Fi 6 router is strongly recommended to get the most out of your connection.

What happens if I have a technical issue?

Our Brisbane-based support team is available by phone (1300 677 185), SMS (0456 783 922), and email. We pick up quickly and actually resolve issues — no endless hold music or overseas call centres. Business plan customers receive a guaranteed 4-hour SLA response time.

Can I keep my existing home phone number?

Yes! We offer VoIP phone plans that let you keep your existing home number. Our residential VoIP plans include unlimited local and national calls. Business customers can get multi-line options too — just ask our team for a quote.
